I went to Tulsa raceway park to run the midnite drags tonight but the track was closed due to a fatal accident. A top fuel car was making a pass when the throttle stuck at full throttle. the driver pulled his or her chute to stop the car but it turned the car around.It procceded to go back towards the start line running over their pit car. Both cars then went through the burnout fence and ending up in the creek.

On the trp website it listed the driver as Shelly Howard. From other conversations it appears that two of the crewmember in the pit car were killed also.

 Thanks for the correction 70w-32, most people think that Nitrous can flame because of these wonderful Fake and F****D up movies. If you watch the tape you can see the initial nitrous pop but than you can tell one of the injectors pops off and is spewing fuel everywhere which is the main cause of the inferno! I am just happy to see that a couple of people were smart and fearless enough to grab extinguishers and help the driver out of his car. Here is a great example of why only team members should be standing with their cars at the line.

I have a 101mm turbo with fast fuel injection. The car went 8.79@162 for the first time yesterday. The first pass went great.. safe tune up and 20 pounds of boost. We checked over the engine after the first pass and it looked great. The next pass I turned up the boost to 24 and at the finish line (I did get out of the throttle all at once this time) it looked like an explosion under the hood and the hood ripped off. It took all of the dzus fastners with it, mounting plates included. It also ripped the support bar that I had fiberglassed into the fender. Also it cracked both headlight bezels near the grill and the middle of the fenders.

The front end is one piece fiberglass and the hood is also fiberglass.

The hood ripped from the rear to the front. The hood is a 4" cowl.

The mounting for the front end and hood is better than most that I have seen. We did the same on my buddies and he has an aero scoop and is going 174 and it works fine for him.

I know the turbo is putting out alot of cfm at 7500 through a 4" tube. The Procharger valve is pointed into the cowl area.

- CNC'd Lingenfelter LS1 heads, o-ringed with 1998 graphite style gaskets (may be LS6 head castings, not sure)
- Precision T-88
- ATI dampener, JWIS chain, Jesel adjustable rockers, Comp duals, hydro cam (specs are )
- LS6 intake, stock throttle body, 160-pound injectors, custom rails with dual feed, Aeromotive FPR, racing plugs
- This is cool too....stock 6.0L truck manifolds with 2.5" hot stainless tubing
- HKS Gate and ATI Race blowoff
