I've see 400's blow right apart when going to neutral, and years ago I have a 400 standard shift partern just put the trans in and went street racing always shifted into neutral after the pass, well my dumb ass didn't tighten the outer cable and it went into reverse can you say OUCH! riped the bell housing off the block, riped the trans mount off, broke the drive shaft in two, now I had a hoop but it split in the middle so any ideas what a broken drive shaft attached to the rearend in a car still going over 125 MPH can do? lets just say I wasn't waiting for the car to stop I started crawling out the window NOT FUN on the up side I didn't need a single tool to remove the trans
