MINI has introduced two different concepts targeting buyers that love the outdoors and are nature lovers.
After the unveiling of the two camping solutions,
the British Brand revealed a new amphibious model called the MINI Yachtsman online before its official launch at the 2012 New York Auto Show.
The all-new MINI Cooper Yachtsman will make its world premiere right beside the Hudson River.

The vehicle looks like a standard MINI with the bow of a military landing craft grafted to its nose and is equipped with a number of special features.
The cabin features waterproof rip-stop upholstery, seat cushions and a Marine Chronometer for celestial navigation.
The new MINI is fitted with a shark-resistant undercoating as standard and can carve through water at speeds up to 61 knots.
It is powered by a 1.6-L four-cylinder engine that generates 181 hp.
Despite its hefty weight of 4,600 pounds, the amphibious MINI is capable of completing 0 to 60 mph sprint on land in 6.6 seconds and in 2.4 minutes in water.
Its top speed on hard ground is 141 mph.

The standard equipment features a six-foot marlin rod with roller guides, an international trolling reel with a 130-lb test line and the latest MINI safety technology –
FLOAT (the Frantic Lever Operated Active Trim) adjuster. “Our exciting MINI Cooper Yachtsman is the ultimate extension of the MINI brand,
 expanding our line-up to seven models in the USA and offering consumers even more ways to enjoy MINI ownership in a manner best-suited to their individual taste and location,”
 said Jim McDowell, Vice President of MINI USA. The new MINI is priced at $236,000 and comes with an incomprehensible warranty that includes 3-year no cost moorage,
annual dry-docking and free barnacle removal. It will be on sale from April 1st as a model year 2013 vehicle.
The MINI Cooper Yachtsman can be seen on the MINI stand at the New York Auto Show in the Jacob Javits Center from Wednesday April 4th.
