Car-centric series received a renewal from the Discovery-owned cabler that caters to an upscale male aud. New season is set to premiere in the fourth quarter. "Overhaulin'" takes beat-up cars and trucks and gives them a refurbished new spin, and in the process revitalizes the lives of their owners. Show, produced by WATV Prods., is hosted by Chip Foose, who also leads the group of auto restorers. Foose, Lenny Shabes and David Lee exec produce. The series first appeared on Discovery's TLC net from 2004-09, where it was a viewer favorite. Discovery brought it back, thinking it was a solid fit for Velocity viewers. "'Overhaulin'" is exactly the type of programming we want to bring to Velocity because it fits with our genre of auto-themed shows geared toward the upscale male and is sure to be a ratings driver," said senior VP Bob Scanlon.
