Q4: Will this film use a 1958 Plymouth or 1960?

A4: We tried like hell to find the right white-on-red 1958 Fury, but they are few and far between in Vancouver, where we shot the film.  (the car in King's short story is a Mustang.)   The closest we could come was the beautiful 1960 model that we used in the film.   MG

The Bottom Line

Sixties college student Alan Parker just needs a ride. He has to get to the hospital to visit his mother, who’s suffered a sudden stroke. In Riding the Bullet, Alan’s hitchhike pick-ups include a dope-smoking hippie who can scarcely keep control of his van; then a creepy old man who is so obsessed with the memory of his dead wife, he can barely keep his eyes on the road; and an eerily intuitive thrill-seeker who drives his devil-red ’58 Plymouth Fury at dangerously high speeds.
